THE LATEST IPHONE IS WATERPROOF, WHY BUY A CASEPROOF SHELL ?

- Categories : Apple Product

WATERPROOF IPHONE 11 PRO & 11 PRO MAX

For its latest iPhone models, Apple wanted to make its smartphones waterproof. The latest range of iPhone X and iPhone 11 can survive under water between 2 and 4 meters for 30 minutes. To do this, they have placed a hydrophobic film on the inner circuit board.

When the iPhone is placed in water, the latter fully penetrates the phone, the hydrophobic film allows the protection of the electronic circuit from the liquids with which it can be in contact.

However, it is important to be aware that after many uses, water, and especially salt water or chlorine will corrode the film and your iPhone will end up not being waterproof and especially will not appreciate the surprise! Be aware that the corrosion of the hydrophobic film is a problem that affects all IP68 waterproof smartphones (iPhone, Samsung, Huawei ...).

Another disadvantage if you decide to go in the water with your iPhone is the long wait before you can recharge it. Indeed, Apple advises to wait 5 hours after getting out of the water to be able to reconnect the smartphone to the mains. Otherwise, hello short-circuits and premature end of life of your iPhone!

Beware of too much repetitive use in salt or chlorinated water: This waterproof feature of Apple's product is rather useful for accidental drops or splashes. Indeed, a team of Cnetfrance.fr has tested the waterproofing of the iPhone and big audio problems emerge. Accidental splashes are not a particular problem. On the other hand, a prolonged immersion at the bottom of the water damages the sound of the iPhone during more than 24 hours before its sound quality is completely restored.

SEE THE APPLE IPHONE WATERPROOFING TEST

The CaseProof IP68 and IP69K waterproof and shockproof case allows you to go under water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. You may wonder why you should put a case that allows you to go less far under water than the iPhone itself ...

Quite simply: the caseProof waterproof protection prevents water from penetrating the phone and thus corroding its circuitry (for older models) or the hydrophobic film (for newer models) thus avoiding short circuits, which will damage your phone.

The waterproof shell is totally resistant to salt water and chlorinated water, no corrosion is formed on the shell. It also prevents any sand or dust from getting inside the shell.

You will have unforgettable photos and videos of your vacations!
